Happy Tuesday, Lovelies! February officially marks the beginning of wedding season for us! I also thought it was proper to introduce my fabulous assistant/intern, Miss Emily! We met through the sorority Delta Zeta, when we both rushed in 2008. We lost contact for a while, but recently rekindled our friendship last year. Emily is my crafty, graphic design right hand lady and she is also planning her September 29 wedding as well! You not only get me, but this beautiful face on your wedding day as well!
How would you describe yourself? Fun, creative and caring.
City, beach, mountains or country? A city by the beach! <3 Must be a so-cal girl…
How would you describe your style? Classy with an edge.
What is your favorite Starbucks drink? Venti Iced Vanilla Latte.
What’s your dream wedding look like? My dream wedding would be a romantic rustic chic affair with friends and family dancing lakeside in the twinkle lights until our little toesies feel like they’re going to fall off!
Happy day, lovelies!!
Today is the start of a new blog post series! Every Wednesday (or every other Wednesday) I am going to focus on a new wedding venue in San Diego and beyond! I may sneak in a few here and there, outside of the California Sunshine, but hopefully I can help some brides find their dream venue right here in our own backyard.
Today, I am introducing the Rancho Guajome Adobe to you. It was not only my wedding venue, but a little gem hidden in the hills of North San Diego County. This is the perfect venue for brides and grooms on a budget. It’s not just budget friendly but also a beautiful place to say your i-do’s.

Happy Venue Hunting!
Hello Lovelies! Today I have a special treat for you!
I have never done a guest post here on my blog, but Recently I was contacted by Jenny Creno from Credit Card Insider about an infographic and wedding budget calculator that she put together based on bride’s experiences, wedding planners and coordinators. It’s super helpful to those who are just starting out with planning, or who just need a refresher.

I married my best friend and high school sweetheart. I never did a blog post with pictures or details from my wedding, so I decided today would be the best day of all to showcase some details.
Our philosophy going into this wedding was, we didn’t want to go into debt from it. So we decided on the Rancho Guajome Adobe in Vista, Ca, which is an old ranch style house and gardens, and is now a county park. That meant we had to plan for an afternoon lunch time wedding, to be out by sunset. We wanted the whole thing to feel like one big party and not your typical wedding. So we hired a taco catering company, filled some galvanized bins with wine and beers and of course our DJ played our favorite country songs and we had a magical afternoon in the gardens with our family and friends. My talented cousin photographed our day, from getting ready (at 6am) to our best friends dancing to “Call M Maybe”.
While, we had to cut corners in order to keep costs down, I am a firm believer that you don’t NEED to spend a ton of money on your wedding to have an amazing day! This in turn allowed us to have an incredible honeymoon the following 10 days. Wow… what a whirlwind couple of weeks.. but that’s for another day! <3
