One year ago today…

I married my best friend and high school sweetheart. I never did a blog post with pictures or details from my wedding, so I decided today would be the best day of all to showcase some details.

Our philosophy going into this wedding was, we didn’t want to go into debt from it. So we decided on the Rancho Guajome Adobe in Vista, Ca, which is an old ranch style house and gardens, and is now a county park. That meant we had to plan for an afternoon lunch time wedding, to be out by sunset. We wanted the whole thing to feel like one big party and not your typical wedding. So we hired a taco catering company, filled some galvanized bins with wine and beers and of course our DJ played our favorite country songs and we had a magical afternoon in the gardens with our family and friends. My talented cousin photographed our day, from getting ready (at 6am) to our best friends dancing to “Call M Maybe”.

While, we had to cut corners in order to keep costs down, I am a firm believer that you don’t NEED to spend a ton of money on your wedding to have an amazing day!  This in turn allowed us to have an incredible honeymoon the following 10 days. Wow… what a whirlwind couple of weeks.. but that’s for another day! <3

Balloons, a Bow and some PINK

Happy Monday, lovelies!

Sorry I have been a little MIA lately. It has been a busy event season, but now that I have a small break from the crazy, I will have some time to catch up with everything and I can’t wait to share my projects…

One project I have been working on has been branding myself and my business and what a better way than to grab your favorite photographer, a fabulous dress (with a bow, no less) and head out to a beautiful California locale.

Well, that is exactly what my husband and I did yesterday, we headed up to Claremont, CA to meet with my beautiful friend and talented photographer Christa from Jae Photographyand the end result is something incredible.

My inspiration was a little bit of Kate Spade

A dash of Miss Dior

and Christa created this…
